This morning, the first thing Isaac said to me when getting out of bed was, "Okay mom, here's the plan."
Here's the plan?! Who says that? Better yet, when did my three year old learn to boss me around? Sean was within distance to hear Isaac's command, and we both just bursted out laughing. This kid is ALL about ordering us around these days. He makes me recount things when he thinks I've counted wrong, he makes me pronounce things accoring to his taste, and he supposedly knows all of the rules to every game, because he teaches me...HIS rules! Hilarious!
Talk about persistent!
And tonight, when laying down with him, he managed to squeeze out a small little prayer tonight (normally they are lengthy, but for whatever reason his was short tonight...) so I said, "OK, Isaac, now it's mommy's turn to say a prayer." And this is how it went:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for the sunshine...
Isaac interrupts with a whisper of a word "Blankies"
"We are thankful for our neighbors who gave us a party...
"Blankies"
We are grateful for our family and our health...
"Blankies"
We ask that we won't have any bad dreams...
"Blankies"
Aaaaaaaaand I guess we are blessing Isaac's blankies tonight, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Gee whiz!!!!!!!!
