2011 was good to us.
In many ways.
We are grateful to end the year riding the coat tails of Christmas. Isaac really got into the spirit (and character!) of the holiday. Even when he opened his presents and found that one of the toys on his wish list wasn't under the tree, he turned and said, "It's okay, there's always next year!"
Who says that??
This year has been an exceptional one for us. We have grown as a family, and as individuals. We have watched our kids grow beyond measure. We have learned to say "thank you", and "I'm sorry" more often (Eliza's "I'm sorry" is the absolute cutest). We have given more hugs and kisses. We have prayed more earnestly, and have excersized our faith more readily. We have pushed aside chores to make room for family time. We go to church. We go to church with a 2-year old. We are always late, but we are there. We turned off the t.v. and listened to more music. We took our kids on dates, and loved every minute. Sean and I went on more dates, even if that said date was a trip to Wegmans. Or to return books to the library.
We hope you have also had a great 2011...
